We offer waiting MOTs’ and also cater for early morning MOTs’ (by appointment only). Any failures will be reported as soon as test results are known and an estimate for repair will be given. Courtesy cars are available for customers leaving vehicles for test for only £10.

Tyres

Looking for tyres at very competitive prices? We buy from several major suppliers and are able to shop around for you to find the best deal, saving you both time and money. Whether it´s leading brands or budget tyres you need, let us give you a quote. We will supply, fit and balance your new tyres and advise you of any premature or uneven wear due to alignment. We can repair punctures – usually with the same day return.

Wheel Alignment

Correct wheel alignment will stop premature inner and outer tread wear as well as improve ‘feel’ and driving comfort.

Air Conditioning

If it hasn’t happened to you before it more than likely will! The scenario is 80°F outside and the family want to drive to the coast for the day. You have loaded the car, everyone’s on board and off you go. You press the little button labelled AC and, low and behold, even warmer air is filling the cabin, or even worse, the car fills with a horrible odour.

Our trained technicians can remedy both problems by servicing, maintaining and repairing your car´s air conditioning system. Our re-gassing system recycles your old gas, cleaning and removing damaging moisture.

Bad odours caused by bacteria not only smell awful but can cause illness such as colds and flu etc. During our service we treat the system to rid it of odours and harmful spores. We recommend that your air conditioning is serviced at least every two years as do most vehicle manufacturers. Don’t be caught out on that first warm day of the year or half way through Europe on holiday. The air conditioning works well when demisting your vehicle´s screen during the winter too. If you do not remember when you last had your air conditioning serviced it probably needs it now. Give us a call very soon. You will be surprised how much you miss it.

Courtesy Cars

We offer courtesy cars to our customers from our fleet of modern vehicles. We understand that geographically we are not near train or bus stations or large shopping centres.

We therefore have some small modern hatch backs and an MPV to allow our customers the luxury of using Chequers Garage and still be mobile whilst their own vehicle is in for service, repair or MOT. We make a charge of £10 for this service which covers the insurance and running costs of our courtesy car fleet.

Customers requiring courtesy cars will need to provide a copy driving licence before taking the vehicle.
